Liturgical Ministries
Music
“Sing to the Lord a new song, a hymn in the assembly of the faithful”. These words from Psalm 149 remind us that music is integral to worship of our Lord. As the assembly gathers for Mass, we open our liturgy with song. Song is woven throughout the liturgy as we sign hymns of praise and thanksgiving. Here at St. Gerald, we have many opportunities for participation in the music ministry:
- Cantors for all Masses
- Choir for the Sunday 10:15 Mass and special occasions
- Instrumentalists for all Masses
The Choir meets for practice on Wednesday evenings through Pentecost.

Children’s Liturgy
At the 10:15 am Mass, children K-5th grade are invited to attend a Gospel lesson at their level, led by one of our wonderful volunteers. They process together to classroom 7 (enter from the social hall). The program now runs yearlong and could benefit from additional volunteer facilitators.
