Volunteer Requirements

Please Note

All volunteers who assist at church events 3 or more times a year are required to have a background check completed and participate in an online or in-person training through Virtus (per guidelines from the Archdiocese of Detroit; for more information and Archbishop Weisenburger’s decree visit protect.aod.org).

Thank you to all who have already completed these requirements.

It is always a good idea to have more trained eyes looking out for abuse. With your help we can keep our church and community a safe place for children and vulnerable adults.

Paper background check forms are found in the classroom hallway information center. Or when you make a Virtus account, you will be prompted for background check information/authorization electronically.
