The St. Gerald Knights of Columbus Council #13673 will award two education scholarships of $1,000 each to students who will be attending a Catholic high school, an accredited college/university, or accredited trade/vocational school (post-high school) for the 2023-2024 fall semester. Details of the program are as follows:

1. To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must be either:
      a. A registered member of St. Gerald parish OR
      b. A child of a registered member of St. Gerald parish OR
      c. A child/grandchild/great-grandchild of an active member (in good standing) or
          deceased Knight of Council 13673

2. Applications will be available beginning in February 2023. They may be obtained from the parish office, or downloaded using the link below. Applications must be completed and submitted no later than April 30, 2023 for consideration.

3. Completed applications may be submitted via US Mail to the parish office (address can be found on application packet). Completed applications may also be submitted electronically to KofC13673@gmail.com. Incomplete applications, or applications received after April 30, 2023, will not be eligible for a scholarship award.

4. In addition to completing the application in full, applicants will also be required to submit an essay of 250 to 500 words explaining why they merit an award, as well as letters of recommendation from two persons who are not relatives. Applicants are required to have a cumulative minimum grade point average of 2.0

5. The Scholarship Committee will review all applications received, and will determine the two recipients of the scholarship awards. Recipients will be notified during the month of July, and the scholarships will be awarded by July 30, 2023. All decisions made by the Scholarship Committee are final.
